All British citizens who have previously lived in the UK can register to vote no matter how long ago they left!
Registration lasts for 3 years and you will be reminded to renew when it expires
You will become a constituent of the MP who represents the address where you last lived
You will be eligible to vote there at the next general election, provided you are on the register in time
